Let’s “open the box” of Animation Studio and start to dig.

AnimationStudio is a cloud based software. The advantage is you can run it anywhere from any computer/tablet as long you have a reliable internet connection. You can save your work locally or on a cloud storage such as Dropbox for instance.

The program gives you the ability to customize your own animated video with lots of templates, graphics (also animated) and audio or your own content. The interface is simple to use and intuitive and tools icons are very clear. You can add text, music from the library or from your own (upload). Background from the scenes are predefined but you can always add your own background from another image processing software i.e. Photoshop. Another useful feature is to add watermark to your work. There is no limit of videos to create and render.

I am working with different languages and I use to translate my video scripts into French voice with just one click which I found to be quite impressive. You can use predefined scripts or your own to translate into 25 languages! This feature is fantastic for promoting your products abroad.

Despite of the efforts made by Todd Gross & Paul Ponna an animation video creation tool is a heavy program that need to be learnt. So don’t expect to be able to create a custom professional video in 5 minutes. It’s going to take you an hour maybe more to know how it works and using the various animations and features to get them timed the way you want. But then YES it will become easier. Of course you can always use one of the pre-made animation templates and just customize it to make it faster and easier.

Animation Studio Functionalities - Workspace

The layout is attractive and easy to understand. The icon #1 is where you select the pre-made templates, animation clips and animated graphics, add text, images, audio and watermarks. You can see the “Text to Speech” function you can enable to translate your text in voice.

Next is your work area #3. This is where you put together your animation video, your animated characters and time it using the timeline #4. The column on the right side #5 that shows you the slides you have in your animation with their duration. They are added in sequence. Each of them can have a unique background and set of animated images to make your video animation easier to manage. You can bring them to the workplace #3 to modify.

Licence and rights

The initial purchase of AnimationStudio has the commercial licence included. Todd Gross and Paul Ponna have decided to do not include it into the product upsell as they usually do. Good point as you can use the software to produce and sell as a service animated videos to your clients.

What goes with this product?
